Built in 1965, Cedar Creek Lake is just under an hour or about 50 miles southeast of Dallas. The lake area lies within Henderson and Kaufman Counties and boasts over 320 miles of shoreline with a max depth over 50 ft. Over 10 communities surround the lake area with Gun Barrel City being the largest. Cedar Creek Lake offers excellent fishing, large coves for swimming, paddle boarding or just floating.
